Our names are Liam and Kaelynn. We're brother and sister, though not blood related and this blog is just about us and our adventures with our Mom, Sarah.
Well, let us introduce ourselves.
Hi, Liam here, I'm a almost two year old Mutt. I have German Shepherd and Golden Retriever for sure and everyone is guessing Australian Shepherd too. They think this because of my ears for some reason, I don't get it but my Mommy says that no matter what I am she loves me. I know lots of cool tricks some of my Mom's favorites to show off are "Leave It", "Watch Me" and "Crawl". I'm in the process of learning "Smile" and to stand up on my hind legs and steady myself, Mom calls it "Up". My Mom got me when I was one as a birthday present from my Dad, Chris. I came from a not so good home where the man hit me a lot, but my Dad doesn't do that so I'm not afraid of him, but I'm still a little bit afraid of other, strange men, eventually I warm up to them. But I don't like to think about those days, because I'm in such a better and much more fun place now. Everyone calls me a Momma's Boy because I love my Mommy so much I don't like her to be far away from me, but we're working on that because Mommy says it's not a good habit to have for what she wants from me, which is called a Therapy Dog. I look forward to the future with my Mommy and Dad and sister Kaelynn. Speaking of Kaelynn, it's her turn to tell you guys about her.
Hey guys, I'm Kaelynn. I just turned five months old and I'm a Mutt too. I have Siberian Husky and Yellow Lab in me. I have one blue eye and one half brown and half blue eye, everyone always compliments me on them. I know lots of cool tricks, just like Liam, but not as much yet but Mommy says that's ok because I'm still learning and she's had more time to practice with Liam. But I am REALLY good at "Sit" and "Watch Me" and "Down". I'm learning "Up" with Liam and I almost have "Shake" down, which Mommy is really excited about since my brother, Liam, doesn't ever want to do "Shake" for Mommy. I have LOTS and LOTS of energy and usually when Mommy and I, or Liam and I start playing instead of running, Mommy says I "bounce", she laughs and says it's SUPER cute! Mommy got me as a best friend for Liam, which worked out really great because we LOVED each other from the first moment we met, but in a brother and sister way, not a boyfriend and girlfriend kind of way. Mommy found me on a place called Craigslist. I came from a good home but no one was ever home so the nice lady there asked Mommy to take me so that I could always have someone home with me (Dad during the day and Mommy at night) and have a best friend from Liam, which we definitely are. Mommy says she wasn't really looking for another dog, especially not a puppy, that she was actually trying to help a friend find a new puppy but when she saw me she had to have me. Oh, Liam wants to talk now.
Liam: That's right, we are two Mutts who Mommy couldn't help but love and we love Mommy back very, very much. We follow her around (mostly because she always has super yummy treats hiding in a whole bunch of places) all the time and we LOVE night-time cuddles with Mom. We're crate trained, but Mom says it's kind of a weird crate train because Kaelynn and I share a super big crate because Kaelynn doesn't like to sleep alone.
Kaelynn: Liam is my bed, pillow and security blanket. I really like Liam.
Liam: Kaelynn, I was talking!
Kaelynn: Sorry, go ahead.
Liam: Mommy likes to take us with her in the car, which we REALLY like, and she likes to take us on cool adventures too!
Kaelynn: My favorite part is the dog park!! We meet lots of new friends, and some of the same one's like Mommy's friend Heidi and her puppy Jett, who is probably my BEST friend, well besides Liam.
Liam: Kaelynn, you interrupted again.
Kaelynn: Sorry, I just get so excited!!!
Liam: I know, but it's still rude.
Kaelynn: Maybe Mom can teach me talking manners.
Liam: I sure hope so. Anyway, MY favorite adventure is going to work with Mom and showing everyone my cool tricks. I like the attention I get from everyone too.
Kaelynn: Well, I think it's time for bed Liam, Mom's telling us to "Kennel Up" which means bedtime. That's it for tonight folks, thanks for reading, stop in soon for some more updates.
